Nasca
Nasca is the second driest place on Earth. (Behind somewhere in Chile) It is also home to the highest sand dune (which looks like a small mountain!).
We visited a pre-inca cemetery circa 1000ad. The preservation of the mummies/bundles was amazing but because of the looting, the tombs were bare and at times it didn’t seem entirely respectful that we were looking at them. The big lure to nasca is “lines”; giant graphics of objects scribed into the land. We chose not to view these and had an cracking day chillin! (The 1st one since arriving).
