Thai cookery school

As you all will know, food has played a big role in our trip. Olly has been keeping a food diary and hopes to recreate some of his favourite dishes back at Gordon Street. So we were pleased to be able to attend a cookery lesson in Krabi to learn some Thai food secrets.

Our teacher started off by teaching us the different flavour groups and different components used in each Thai dish. She the demonstrated and guided us with preparing and cooking all the following:
Hot & Sour soups (Tom Yum and coconut)
Spring rolls
Papaya/Cucumber salad
Pad thai
Curry paste
Thai Curries
Mango and sticky rice
Banana in coconut milk

Of course, one of the best bits of the day was proudly eating our creations! We were well fed and went home with happy tummys and doggy bags.
