Last stop – Bangkok
For our final days of the tour, we soaked up the (now humid) heat in Bangkok, trying to mentally prepare ourselves for our return to the UK. – We made use of the hotel pool and lounge area, and made sure we wore our hotel dressing gowns round the room. We went to a spa and had a foot treatment and a massage.
We also went a bit further afield – returning by boat to Asiatique for a spot of shopping, and further up the river to The Deck restaurant for one last temple-filled sunset. Our friends Pommi, Pon and their little’un, Titus, also came out to meet us and took us to a tasty Thai restaurant. Slightly off the tourist trail, we also visited a supermarket and the bustling China Town in search of more kitchen equipment for Olly!
Finally, on a very anti-social 2am flight, we headed back to the UK, skins tanned, hearts full, bags light and pockets empty.

China Town chaos… wish we found it sooner!
