The End! Back to Reality.

After two tear-filled flights back to the UK, we arrived on home soil. It is a very strange feeling being somewhere so familiar after such a long time. We have found ourselves to be much more observant of the smaller details which make this our home country. The airport toilets were the best we have seen, the polite driving made us chuckle and we felt smaller (after feeling rather large/tall in Asia). It would be a lie to say that we were ready to return – we could have gladly continued for at least another three months if our bank balances had let us – but it has been very nice to see all our friends and family, to eat all those foods we have missed, and to be free of haggling and litter. We have had the time of our lives on this trip and we feel so lucky to have seen and experienced so much. The biggest thing we have come away with is gratefulness.
