Surf camp in Esmoriz
So this week we have had the pleasure of a short but sweet trip to the Portuguese coastline with friends. Staying with Oporto Surf camp, we have achieved 100% relaxation, which was my main plan! We stayed in the lodge, which is about a 20min stroll from Esmoriz, and 1min from the beach – with a view of the ocean from our balcony.
Olly and friends have had a challenge on their hands with the surfing – the waves were pretty powerful! But the nice thing about this area of coastline is that it’s less discovered, so you only have to concentrate on the wave and your technique, rather than avoiding others in the water. The bump and I enjoyed watching from the beach. Top tip – if you are pregnant and are on a beach holiday, dig a hole under your beach towel, and enjoy lying on your front!
A surprise addition to the trip was that Our friend Vicky met up with an old friend at the camp, who was playing her first DJ set at a local beach bar. So rather than heading for an early night after our Saturday evening yoga, we glammed up for a night of dancing to reggaeton and impromptu limbo!
