Missing: one shoe

The next day we drove for the most part, only stopping to take photographs, and to book a two a day sea-kayak and hike on the great walk in Abel Tasmen, leaving at 9am the following morning.

Just before dinner, as we were packing our rucksacks, Olly realised he could only find one walking shoe. Panic ensued. It was already pitch black as we returned to our last two stopping points. We left messages with places we had visited, and we located the local outdoors shop (a one hour round trip).

It was all to no avail. The shoe didn’t appear and Olly coped with the canvas shoes he had. We never saw the shoe again!
